Monday, December 14th, 2009Following my post last Friday with regards to price differential at HMV instore compared to online I thought I would present my findings of a visit to an HMV and WH Smith store compared to 3 retailers online.

From the table above one of the first things to notice is that CDs are far and away cheaper online at HMV rather than instore. As for games 3 of the 5 games are cheaper online so it clearly pays to shop online at HMV if you are an avid HMV customer.
The stand out winner of this small survey though is Amazon. They are the cheapest for every product, albeit a penny for two of them, and with free delivery they offer a great service. The E.N.D. by Black Eyed Peas is £4 cheaper at Amazon than you would pay at HMV instore so really why would you go there?
Hopefully I’ll be looking at DVD and Blu Ray later in the week.
